이민개혁 금식 캠페인을 위해 여러분이 취할 수 있는 3가지
11월 12일, 전국적으로 이민개혁의 도덕적 절박함을 부각하기 위해 “이민자 가정을 위한 금식”이 시작되었습니다. 금식은 12월 12일 목요일로 31일째를 맞이하게 됩니다. 지난 한 달간 전국적으로 몇 만 명이 이민개혁을 위한 금식에 동참하였고, 이민개혁운동은 이러한 성원과 연대금식에 탄력을 받아 더욱 강력해지고 있습니다.

12월 12일, 미 연방하원은 가족을 보호하는 이민개혁을 투표에 부치지도 않은 채 올해의 회기를 마칠 것입니다. 지금, 여러분의 참여가 필요합니다. 이민개혁에 대한 염원이 점점 거세지고 있는 지금, 우리들은 날마다 더 강력해지고 있고 오늘 당장 이민개혁이 하원에서 통과되기를 바라고 있다고 전합시다!

1. 베이너 의장에게 전화를 걸어주세요.

(202)-225-0600으로 전화를 걸어 “가족을 위한 금식”을 지지하며, 의회의 활동을 지켜보고 있다고 전해주세요. 아시안으로서, 베이너 의장이 이민자 가족을 위해 이민개혁 법안을 하원 투표에 부쳐줄 것을 요구하세요.

2. 금식 동참 및 지지 사진을 보내주세요. 
12월 12일, 한끼라도 금식에 동참하면서 연대금식자들에게 응원의 메세지를 사진이나 영상에 담아서 보내주세요.
사진을 보낼 경우, “이민자 가정을 위한 금식 (Fast4Families)”라는 제목으로  eakessel@nakasec.org로 이메일 주시면 됩니다.
영상을 찍은 경우, 유투브에  youtube.com/nakasec에 올려주시면 됩니다.

3 Actions You Can Take for Stand With Families

Fast for Families — a national action highlighting the moral urgency of immigration reform — launched on November 12. Thursday, December 12, will mark the 31st day of this campaign. Tens of thousands across the nation have fasted. Your prayers and solidarity fasts have strengthened and galvanized the immigration reform movement.

 Now we need your help. On December 12, the House of Representatives will conclude their calendar year. But it has not acted yet to keep immigrant families together. Let’s tell our leaders that we are growing stronger each day and we expect them to act now. Here are 3 easy actions that you can take today!

1. Call Speaker John Boehner
Pick up your cell phone and dial (202)-225-0600 and let him know that you support the Fast for Families, stand with families, and are watching him closely. Tell him: “As a member of the Asian American community, I am calling upon you, Speaker Boehner, to have a heart for immigrant families and put a bill to the floor for a vote!”
 
2. Snap a Photo of Your Actions and Support
Send us a picture or video message of your support those who are fasting and for immigration reform. Also, would you consider fasting for a meal on Thursday, December 12?
